Butterfly Migration

One of the first things we noticed when relocating to the coast was the countless butterflies migrating to a warmer climate. Hundreds, if not thousands, of tireless butterflies flew over us while we combed the beaches for inspiration. This collection pays homage to their migration and your personal migration or “butterfly move” through life. For this collection we used the intricate textures and patterns of collected shells to create a sculpturally bold interpretation of the butterfly migration. Each butterfly is first delicately molded from a seashell and then meticulously hand-formed into its final shape.
